Two of my favorite ingredients melted together into a nourishing, sensitive skin butter.
I’ve grown organic calendula for years in my garden, and each year the seeds spread far and wide. Because we had such a mild winter this year, my calendula never died, and we were able to harvest all winter long. For those that are unfamiliar with this medicinal plant, it’s one of the most loved skin care flowers. It’s known for being healing for even the most sensitive skin, and helps with irritation and dry skin. Calendula has been treasured in the natural skincare world for many generations. I’m hoping that because this grows so abundantly here, I’ll be able to offer this often.
Tallow is an incredible skincare ingredient as well. It’s rich, protective, and full of fatty acids that help soften and support the skin barrier. It leaves skin feeling soft and conditioned, helps dry and irritated skin, and is sensitive enough for babies and those with skin conditions.
Melt those two magic ingredients together and you have an incredibly healing skin butter for face, body, and hands. This whipped tallow is unscented, but smells herbal and earthy like calendula.
Ingredients: Grass-fed beef tallow, homegrown organic calendula infused in olive oil, arrowroot powder.
